Attorney Daniel R. Lewis passionately believes in giving back to the local community and has become well known in the Central Florida area for his ongoing community efforts! His Annual Sock Drive, begun in 2017, has collected over 6000 pairs of new socks that have been distributed to local shelters and outreach groups serving our less fortunate neighbors. In addition, as circumstances have created a need, Attorney Lewis has organized and directly carried out blanket, jacket, and toilet paper drives for these same groups, selflessly giving back to his community. In 2017, Daniel R. Lewis incorporated the 327 Gentlemen’s Club, a fraternal 501(c)(3) dedicated to doing good where we work, live, and play. He has served as President of 327 Gentlemen’s Club since its founding, and annually spearheads their Thanksgiving Bag Drive, which in 2019 provided over 200 meals for low income families in and around Sanford, FL, as well as their annual poker tournament, which funds a different local charity in need each year. Supplementing this, Attorney Lewis believes in giving back to our schools and local youth. Over the last few years, he has provided sponsorships for local youth sports, teamed with Seminole County Public Schools to serve as a youth mentor to at risk children, and has regularly sponsored classrooms to provided supplies and extracurricular items. From 2017-2019, Attorney Lewis’s continual involvement in local civic organizations led him to serve on the Sanford Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, where he was able to assist small businesses and impact the local community through a myriad of events. Since 2019, he has given his service to the City of Sanford, as he was appointed by the Mayor and City Commission to serve on the Planning and Zoning Commission. His efforts to improve the local community have extended to his role organizing and running “Keeping Sanford Sparkling,” a local community cleanup group that sponsors both Ft. Mellon Park and Paulucci Park in Sanford, works with the city on anti-littering signs and initiatives, and performs a regular cleanup of Sanford’s downtown merchant community.
Attorney Lewis and his son Blake Lewis delivered Thanksgiving meals collected by the local 501c3 the 327 Gentlemen’s Club. Meals were given to the Picnic Project for distribution to local families.
